Requirements and system scope
- The system is published for passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and heavy trucks, with local-regulation customization available.
- Its steady-state test process uses ASM5025 (5024) and ASM2540 operating segments to simulate regulated road loads.
Inspection chain
The published CTASM-3 configuration combines a chassis dynamometer, five-gas analyzer, cooling equipment, driver aid, safety limits, inertia simulation, engine-speed measurement, environmental station, and computer control.
During testing, the system applies the required load simulation to measure CO, HC, and NOx pollutant concentrations.
